September’s calendar was packed with boat shows, including Cannes Yachting Festival, Southampton International Boat Show, Genoa Boat Show and the Monaco Yacht Show.
This year, Guest Trip was immersed in the world of superyachts on the quays at Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show, meeting luxury businesses and exploring synergies with prospective clients. We also had the pleasure to attend a number of invitation-only events, including the Port Vauban, Memetti Superyacht Agency and Superyacht Show Türkiye cocktail evening.
Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 Review
Held across Vieux Port and Port Canto from September 9-14, Cannes Yachting Festival featured 677 exhibitors with innovative and exciting debuts, as well as 711 yachts ranging in length from 5 to 50 metres.
We had a busy and productive week, from networking at the OceanPosse event to attending the World Yachts Trophies gala dinner on Saturday 13th September, to sea trials of the newest tenders and client meetings at the VIP Lounge created by Roche Bobois.
Talking about Guest Trip with boatbuilders, brokers, and other industry experts highlighted great pathways for opportunity. Regarding the main factors that charter brokers, owners, and management are taking into account when investing in yacht charter itinerary software, we got a lot of excellent feedback.
These considerations cover a wide variety of factors, including pricing, customisation, data security, integration, user experience, and managing high-pressure expectations via technical support.
Three recurring key points about yacht itinerary software:
🛑 PROBLEM: Vessels and management are struggling to stay within budget for software, systems and tools that offer expensive plans with features they don’t need.
✅ OUR SOLUTION: Guest Trip offers tiered subscription plans, making it cost-effective for all sizes of businesses, whether you’re a solo broker, an individual charter yacht or need an efficient solution for fleet management.
🛑 PROBLEM: Limited time to train brokers or crew on a new system and concerns about compatibility with existing hardware and systems.
✅ OUR SOLUTION: Guest Trip needs no third-party apps or software installations, so you can be up and running quickly. Users don’t need technical expertise to install, set up or use Guest Trip, so you can say goodbye to add-on installation costs and tedious onboarding.
🛑 PROBLEM: Brokers and crew are unsure if a charter itinerary builder will save them enough time to make it feasible.
✅ OUR SOLUTION: With AI-driven itinerary creation and real-time updates, Guest Trip can save you hours of communication and manual work every week, making it a worthwhile investment for time-strapped crew, charter brokers or managers.
In conclusion, the Cannes show gave us a chance to catch up with familiar faces and have encouraging conversations regarding Guest Trip's progress in making charter planning easier for brokers, crew, and owners.
Monaco Yacht Show 2025 Wrap Up
The 34th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, which was held at Port Hercule from September 24 to 27, was a celebration of the finest yacht building, design, destinations, innovation, gadgets, luxury cars and technology in the superyacht sector.
We spent our time at MYS fostering new relationships and reaffirming existing ones so that we could learn and listen to what’s ahead in the market.
For us, staying current with data, trends, and technical knowledge is essential. According to Fraser Yachts (source: Monaco Yacht Show Market Report 2025 by Superyacht Times), at February 2025 there were 3,832 yachts available for charter, including 2,155 yachts over 30 metres. In addition to legislative developments that are changing what are traditionally "go-to" charter destinations, client expectations are shifting as the worldwide fleet of boats grows. Examples include the Bahamas VAT levy impacting demand with Caribbean charter bookings and the expansion of marinas and new infrastructure making the Middle East more appealing as a winter hub.
The Saudi Tourism Authority revealed plans during MYS to promote the Saudi Red Sea coast as an alternative option for Med and Caribbean cruising, using already-existing facilities like the Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina. With 116 berths for boats up to 140 metres, AMAALA Triple Bay Marina will also boost the region’s world-class facilities and services. The King Abdullah Economic City's Bay La Sun Marina & Yacht Club is also joining the portfolio.
This reinforces how crucial it is for Guest Trip to remain agile in an industry that is always changing. With our AI-powered platform – regardless of where your charter company or vessel is located globally – you can create and update your charter plans around pre-season refits and seasonal yacht charter periods, because your charter itineraries are synchronised in real-time across devices and stakeholders.
Monaco Yacht Show was not without surprises – the final confirmed attending yachts were rearranged in the run-up to MYS opening day. Vessels on display included well-known superyachts Alfa G, King Benji, Nero, and the 89-metre Amels Here Comes The Sun, which showcased a brand-new Aston Martin Valhalla on deck. Others, such as O'Madeleine, Katana, Feadship's Valor, Damen's After You and Emotional and Benetti's Lady Estey were there for their global premiere. Plenty of yachts were at anchor; however, Mar and Luna were the biggest attending yachts in Port Hercule, and both are available for charter.
Our Guest Trip team visited the Monaco Yacht Summit in the MYS Conference Hall, where a number of seminars and panel sessions kept visitors interested with industry-specific topics. The dual difficulty of building destinations within environmental norms while maximising economic potential was covered in the panel discussion: "How to create a sustainable superyacht destination," which was moderated by Enrico Chhibber, features writer for SuperYacht Times. It was an excellent conversation regarding the necessity of cooperation between governments, local communities, industry stakeholders, and investors in order to promote yachting destinations without overtaxing natural or cultural resources, with speakers representing the Bahamas, Qatar, and the Balearics.
Through the week, we heard about new builds and fresh design concepts: Italian builders Cantieri di Pisa and T. Mariotti announced their partnership to create a new yacht range; the first project will be the 70-metre Super Polaris 70. Hydro Tec unveiled a 35-metre pocket explorer concept 'Vagrant'; sure to pique interest with owners looking to cruise to far-flung destinations. On a grander scale, Ulyssia Residences AG released further updates on its 320-metre residential yacht project, Ulyssia, developed in collaboration with Espen Øino and Meyer Werft. Construction is expected to start next year and the yacht set for launch in 2030.
We joined in a few great networking events, including the Bond Technology and Superyacht Technology Show breakfast hosted at the Bond office with a panoramic view over the port, and the ‘Beers for Engineers’ evening hosted by JPMA, Cornerstone Crew Management, Pendennis, Wilsonhalligan and Bond at Crazy Pizza.
Fuelled by a number of exciting developments, the September yacht shows were a brilliant success for the Guest Trip team. Momentum is a choice, and it solidified that yacht shows are not just about business but genuine human connection, mutual support and trust across networks. We extend a heartfelt thank you to those who shared their expertise, feedback and positive interaction with us.
