FAQs
What's the lead time on Scarab QR units?
Product manufacturing and customisation takes approximately 3 weeks, although usually shorter for small batches. For custom finishes we aim to ship within 4 weeks depending on the materials used.
Can I supply my own QR code?
Of course. If you already have a QR code you want to have etched, get in touch with the team or make a note in cart options. We'll need a vector image of the QR code you supply, .SVG file types are preferred.
Can I preview my Scarab QR units before they're produced?
Each design is individually designed in our CAD software prior to fulfilment to ensure you're happy with the end product. A 3D render will be emailed to you previewing the finish, custom logo, fonts used, custom text and QR style for your approval.
How do I share my Wi-Fi details with you?
Once your order has been submitted, a team member will reach out with a secure portal link for you to share each Wi-Fi login you would like embedded in a QR code.
Do you share our Wi-Fi credentials with anyone?
No, the QR generation is completed by our own system and the laser etching completed in our London design studio to ensure data security compliance. At no point are any credentials shared with a third party.
I've changed my Wi-Fi credentials
No problem, the QR discs are interchangeable, simply inform a member of the team at sales@guest-trip.com who will generate new QR codes and laser etch them onto new discs.
Can you match the finish of our interior?
Sure, custom finishes for the base, surround and QR disc are no problem. Simply get in touch with the team at sales@guest-trip.com​ to find out more.
Will it scratch my interior?
Each Scarab unit includes a high quality felt ring on the base to eliminate scratches to delicate interiors or surfaces. It also helps keep it sea secure in rough weather.
How long do you keep our Wi-Fi credentials for?
For data security, Wi-Fi credentials are removed from our system 30 days after the order has completed. We take cyber security very seriously and work within ISO 27001:2022 information security management compliance framework.
